I retrieved the blog entry until the month of April. I was almost through with this earlier T_____T
This is my year-ender blog post. Thank you very much for being a part of my 2011. I may not be that active here on Tumblr, making occasional updates and reblogs, but still I thank you for your simple likes, replies, and inbox messages. I’m planning of doing Project 366 for next year so at least I can post something each day. :)
This is a text-heavy post so don’t say I didn’t warn you. :)
2011 has been a really good year to me.
On January, I celebrated my birthday with my college friends. My mom also came over from the province. It was just a simple lunch, but being with the people important to me made my day extra special. I received phone calls, text messages, Twitter and Facebook greetings. Technology made me closer to the people I love.
Weeks later, I celebrated my birthday again but this time, with my high school friends and relatives. It was a simple buffet dinner. We shared stories and did some catching up. It was one memorable night indeed.
On February, I can still remember how I dated my Comparative Anatomy books and atlases for our upcoming exam. It sucks not to have someone special to be with on that day. Seriously. I see posts everywhere about how they spent their Valentine’s Day. It made me feel envious.
I can’t remember anything so significant in March. Maybe we were so busy cramming school stuff. The second semester of every school year is shorter than the first semester. There are a lot of interruptions like activities and breaks. Catching up on the latter months of the semester is really tedious. Oh wait, now I remember something. We got a perfect score on our Physics project. 20% of our grade, yo! Haha. We proved that sound waves can turn off a candlelight. ;)
April is one of the best months of my life. Before anything else, I received a not-so-good news right before I fly to New York. Okay, that’s life. We just can’t have everything in this world. But hey, I don’t have time to feel bad since I’ll be flying to New York 36hrs after I got the message. Nobody knew where I was going, except for my college friends and my best friend since first grade. April 16. We arrived at Narita, Japan just in time for lunch. I fell in love with Japan at that instant. I saw cherry blossoms. Their washroom was superb o.O I’d like to have a toilet like theirs in my future home. The ambiance was great but the food was expensive. Right after lunch, we took the plane to New York. It was drizzling when we arrived there. It was around 8°C. We waited for my godparents to pick us up. We had dinner at the apartment. Slept early due to jet lag. The next day was Palm Sunday. We attended mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Everything was so surreal. We then strolled around Rockefeller Center. We ate lunch and headed to Times Square. We went home and slept the rest of the afternoon away, still because of jet lag. I enjoyed my stay in New York. We visited a lot of churches and museums. I spent quality time with our relatives, especially with my cousins. Fast forward to 2014 please. Haha.
May. I returned to the Philippines. I had one week to fix stuff and all, and we’re off to Singapore! Yay! It was such a short trip but I liked it. The remaining days of the summer were spent for other family gatherings, HS class gatherings, and literally bumming around. Haha.
June. My 2 TB external hard drive containing the NY pictures crashed. It broke my heart. T___T Gaah, it was merely 3 weeks old. I still grief on the thought of it every now and then. I don’t have a copy of all the pictures. :| This is one of the reasons why I’d love to come back sooner. And oh, this month also marks the start of our junior year! A lot of adjustments have been made. Major subjects are way different from our subjects in AS.
The months of June, July, August, September, and October were spent on adjustments and academic burden. Haha, ok that was too much. Studying stuff which we really need for our profession is very pressuring. I’m glad that the first semester of our junior life is over. I’ve earned a lot of new friends during those months, and I’m happy to have them. :)
Over the sembreak, I wasn’t able to go out with my friends since I got sick. I took the opportunity to catch up on the TV series I’ve been watching. Yay! I’m a proud HIMYM fan! :D
November marked the start of our second semester. We crammed our batch’s presentation for the Talent Show and gladly finished like a boss :> Champion, yo! Haha.
We only had one exam before the Christmas break. I was part of the Facade Committee of our college for the Facade Competition. We placed 4th :’) All the memories I’ve spent with my committee-mates are worth treasuring. We’d always stay late in school and eat dinner before going home. We’ve even experienced out of this world shizz, if you know what I mean. :)) Our college’s lantern was the runner up at the Lantern Parade. CAMP was hailed as the Merriest Crowd! \m/ I’m so proud of my OPST 127 batch! :)
My Christmas break has been very busy. Finally, I was able to take driving lessons! My HS friends and I see each other almost everyday in preparation for our Gift Giving project. We’re now on our fourth year and it’s our first time to have big sponsors. I’m so happy with the turnout of our project. :)
It’s 11:25PM on my clock right now. To sum it up, my 2011 by far is the most awesome year in my life! I can’t imagine how awesome 2012 can get! I’ve fallen in love, fallen out of love, and is now ending this year with a happy heart. Cheers to everything that happened in 2011! Let’s all welcome 2012 with happy hearts and big smiles!
xoxo
